This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.
• Establish and maintain enduring relationships with scientific and managerial stakeholders at Strategic Account R&D sites.
• Enhance access, trust, and early insights into molecule programs, discovery processes, and R&D decision-making.
• Monitor the status of the molecule pipeline, site footprint, and forthcoming decision points from discovery through R&D.
• Identify and prioritize opportunities for early-stage technology seeding.
• Convert R&D process requirements into specific use cases and align technical experts from the Business Unit for validation support.
• Facilitate technology validation via process and product trials, clearly defined process steps, scale-up/scale-down, and manufacturing-sensitive validation.
• Document trial results and readiness indicators to assist in progression toward pilot, clinical, or manufacturing adoption.
• Assist with Phase I–III pilot and clinical process/product trials in collaboration with Product Development, Tech Transfer, and Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs).
• Observe new process landscapes, transfers, and modalities within accounts, reporting on changes in footprint, risks, and implications.
• Carry out organized handovers of validated programs to commercial teams, including stakeholder maps, process context, validation evidence, and subsequent actions.
• A Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in customer-facing roles within biopharma settings, such as process development support, technical sales, applications, or scientific support.
• Strong familiarity with R&D environments.
• Capability to operate credibly in highly scientific settings and translate early R&D requirements into structured validation and adoption pathways.
• Ability to influence a variety of senior decision-makers and collaborate with Technical Sales to develop complex customer solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across customer R&D networks and internal matrix teams.
• High proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, particularly Salesforce (SFDC).
• Meticulous documentation practices for structured handovers, encompassing pipeline tracking, customer processes, validation evidence, and decision points.
• Proficiency in English.
• Willingness to travel over 50% of the time.
