RCM Training, Process Optimization Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +18 more states.

📋 Description

• Design and implement structured training programs across Billing, Accounts Receivable, Payment Posting/Cash Reconciliation, and other Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) functions.

• Oversee the onboarding and training process for new team members.

• Create ongoing education and refresher training sessions.

• Develop training materials for new systems, enhancements, automation, and changes in RCM workflows.

• Conduct live demonstrations, workflow walkthroughs, and practical system training.

• Evaluate training effectiveness and identify knowledge gaps.

• Generate and sustain RCM Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Document standardized workflows, procedures, business rules, escalation paths, and system requirements.

• Create workflow diagrams, process maps, checklists, job aids, and supplementary documentation.

• Maintain a centralized repository of SOPs, workflows, training materials, and job aids.

• Review and revise documentation as systems and operational requirements evolve.

• Acquire in-depth knowledge of RCM systems and act as a subject matter expert.

• Engage in system implementations, enhancements, and operational adjustments.

• Test and verify workflows prior to developing training and documentation.

• Translate system functionalities into practical workflows and detailed procedures.

• Assess workflows for inefficiencies, inconsistencies, manual steps, and opportunities for automation.

• Collaborate with RCM leaders and subject matter experts to create improved future-state workflows.

• Facilitate process improvements through documentation, training, and follow-up after implementation.

• Monitor new workflows and collect feedback for further refinement.

• Produce SOPs, comprehensive workflow documentation, process maps, system and new-hire training materials, job aids, knowledge checks, and current/future-state process documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong comprehension of Revenue Cycle Management operations and healthcare billing workflows.

• Experience in one or more RCM functions such as Billing, Accounts Receivable, Payment Posting, Cash Reconciliation, Claims Management, or related revenue cycle operations.

• Ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of new systems, technology, and operational processes.

• Proficient in understanding end-to-end workflows and identifying dependencies among teams, systems, and processes.

• Experience in developing SOPs, process documentation, training materials, or operational workflows.

• Excellent written communication skills to convert complex processes into clear, straightforward instructions.

• Experience in training individuals or groups on systems, processes, or operational procedures.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Comfortable collaborating with operational team members and leadership to gather information and validate processes.

• Highly organized with a keen attention to detail and documentation standards.

• Capability to manage multiple documentation, training, and process-improvement initiatives concurrently.

• Preferred: experience in supporting RCM system implementations, migrations, or technology transitions.

• Preferred: experience in workflow mapping and process enhancement.

• Preferred: experience in creating structured training programs or educational materials.

• Preferred: familiarity with RCM automation and technology-driven workflows.

• Preferred: experience across various RCM departments.

• Experience supporting distributed or offshore RCM teams is a plus.
