📋 Description

• Submits accurate invoices to payers in a timely manner for provided products and services.

• Understands the terms and fee schedule associated with all contracts related to submitted invoices.

• Accurately determines quantities and pricing for billed medications.

• Confirms that the services and products are properly authorized and that the necessary documentation is maintained.

• Ensures invoices are submitted for services and products that have been appropriately ordered and confirmed as delivered.

• Reviews received payments for accuracy and applies them correctly within the system.

• Confirms that received payments align with the established fee schedule.

• Correctly applies payments to the patient accounts.

• Ensures secondary bills and patient invoices are dispatched within 48 hours of payment receipt.

• Alerts the Reimbursement Manager regarding any overpayments or duplicate payments for the same service.

• Transfers payments intended for other offices within 48 hours of receipt.

• Follows up on submitted invoices to guarantee prompt and timely payment.

• Makes calls to confirm that submitted claims have been received and are being processed.

• Sends correspondence to the patient or responsible party if their insurance provider fails to make payment within a reasonable timeframe.

• Generates and sends out statements and collection letters.

• Follows up on all denials within 48 hours of receipt.

• Ensures adherence to policies and guidelines specified in the contract terms and fee schedule.

• Complies with HIPAA regulations when accessing and sharing patient information to safeguard patient and business confidentiality.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.

• 0 – 6 months of prior experience in Infusion Reimbursement or Intake/Admissions.

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word.
