Hospital Patient Account Collections Representative

📋 Description

• The Patient Account Representative is tasked with managing accounts to ensure they are resolved promptly.

• Responsible for following up on claim submissions, reviewing remittances for insurance collections, and creating and pursuing disputed balances from both government and non-government entities.

• Execute assigned duties in a professional manner, which includes engaging with insurance plans, patients, physicians, attorneys, and team members as required.

• Investigate each account utilizing the company's patient accounting applications and available internet resources.

• Engage in appropriate account activities on outstanding balances by contacting third-party payers and/or patients via phone, email, or online methods.

⛳️ Requirements

• A High School diploma or equivalent is required; some college coursework in business administration or accounting is preferred.

• 1-4 years of experience in medical claims and/or hospital collections.

• A minimum typing speed of 45 words per minute is required.
