This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee both inbound and outbound patient communications to facilitate the scheduling and coordination of diagnostic imaging and specialty services.
• Arrange, modify, cancel, and verify patient appointments for imaging, laboratory, nuclear medicine, pulmonary, vascular, surgery, labor and delivery, physician scheduling, and main call support.
• Address patient questions regarding imaging services, availability, preparation guidelines, insurance verification, and general service information.
• Record patient interactions, appointment details, and updates in scheduling systems and customer relationship management (CRM) platforms.
• Assess patient orders, referrals, and provider directives to schedule appointments in accordance with established protocols.
• Efficiently navigate multiple scheduling, CRM, and communication systems simultaneously.
• Liaise with patients, providers, and internal teams to coordinate care and address scheduling requirements.
• Adhere to workflows, call flows, knowledge resources, HIPAA regulations, and standards for privacy and security.
• Recognize patient needs and address concerns while fulfilling service expectations.
• Uphold standards for productivity, quality, attendance, and schedule adherence in a high-volume contact center.
• Engage in modality-based training, coaching sessions, and initiatives aimed at performance enhancement.
• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.
• A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
• Preferred: A minimum of six months of experience in a healthcare contact center, patient access, or customer service setting, with essential hands-on experience in scheduling medical appointments within a healthcare organization.
• Experience working from home in a private, secure, distraction-free environment compliant with HIPAA and company data privacy standards.
• Excellent verbal communication, empathy, professionalism, and telephone etiquette.
• Comprehensive understanding and consistent compliance with contact center performance metrics and Remote Work Agreement expectations.
• Capability to adhere to assigned schedules, maintaining reliability, punctuality, and attendance.
• Flexibility to modify shifts, cover absences, and work overtime based on organizational needs.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as necessary.
• Proficient in managing multiple systems and tasks concurrently.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow established protocols and workflows.
• Skills in problem-solving and researching customer inquiries.
• Basic computer skills with Windows-based systems, Outlook, Teams, CRM, and scheduling platforms.
• Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
• Must be able to complete assessments independently if required.
