Radiology Dispatcher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Provide Radiology Technologists in the field with details regarding patient examinations

• Assist and guide field Radiology Technologists to ensure studies are completed promptly

• Assign Technologists to suitable areas and facilities according to the established schedule

• Page Technologists for STAT, ASAP, and priority home visits

• Leave voice messages for Technologists concerning 4-hour and 2-hour STAT turnaround times

• Communicate issues and report them to the House Supervisor and Field Supervisor

• Inform clients about any delays in arrival or reading of results

• Assist Technologists with directions, case types, and client details

• Cross-train for the Customer Service role

• Answer incoming calls within three rings

• Assist with overflow client orders

• Assign STAT cases within 10 minutes and routine calls within 15 minutes

• Consistently dispatch calls to Technologists

• Monitor activities in other dispatch areas

• Complete assigned responsibilities and special projects

• Suggest process efficiencies and improvements for streamlining

• Check the mailbox daily and ensure a tidy workspace

⛳️ Requirements

• All candidates must reside within 50 miles of the Carrollton, Texas office

• High school diploma or GED, or a year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

• Strong customer service skills

• Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication abilities

• Skills in problem-solving and decision-making

• Good organizational capabilities

• Ability to execute and prioritize multiple tasks effectively

• Professional demeanor and appearance

• Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus but not mandatory

• Ability to apply common-sense reasoning to detailed written or verbal instructions

• Working knowledge of Windows Explorer and MS Word processing software

• Some experience with computer software is required

• Must be available to work overnight, Thursday to Monday, from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. EST

• Must be willing to work overtime as needed

• Must be adaptable to shift changes based on business requirements

• Must be able to sit regularly, use hands, and communicate verbally or audibly

• Must occasionally stand, walk, and lift or move up to 10 pounds
