Radiation Therapist – Outpatient

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Instructs and prepares patients for radiation therapy or simulations.

• Exhibits comprehensive knowledge of treatments and the relevant equipment.

• Assembles necessary supplies and equipment to ensure proper positioning and accuracy during treatment.

• Evaluates patient pain that may affect treatments.

• Accommodates patients and delivers direct patient care under the supervision of a physician and/or guidance of an RN/LPN.

• Documents medical histories.

• Prepares patients for treatments while considering their specific needs; administers care based on individual age and capabilities.

• Complies with all departmental and radiation safety policies and procedures.

• Upholds infection control standards in treatment/procedure rooms and areas where patient care services are provided.

⛳️ Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited Radiation Therapy program.

• IEMA/IDNS certification in Radiation Therapy Technology.

• ARRT Licensure or eligibility for licensure.

• New graduates must obtain licensure within 3 months of graduation.

• Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
