Quantum Application Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Serve as a technical advocate within prominent customer accounts

• Oversee the onboarding and training of developers and researchers with diverse levels of quantum expertise

• Deliver hands-on technical assistance

• Conceptualize and collaborate on projects that utilize real-world applications and address them with quantum algorithms

• Actively seek out new technical opportunities during customer interactions

• Gather customer feedback and convert it into actionable insights for the Product team

• Develop reusable tools, insights, and methodologies to facilitate the scaling of successful solutions across customer bases

• Collaborate closely with enterprise customers in the EMEA region to assist them in designing, building, and scaling practical quantum applications

• Represent the technical perspective of the customer within Classiq

⛳️ Requirements

• PhD in physics, computer science, or a related discipline pertinent to quantum information science

• Over 3 years of practical experience in quantum algorithm design, research, or software development

• Proven experience leading technical discussions with R&D and engineering teams

• Exceptional communication skills with the capability to clearly articulate technical subjects

• High proficiency in Python and quantum SDKs (e.g., Qmod, Qiskit, PennyLane, Cirq, Tket)

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken

• Bonus: Background in Quantum Chemistry

• Bonus: Familiarity with Quantum Machine Learning (QML)

• Bonus: Experience with a wide range of quantum algorithms
