This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Design and develop components for our core analytics platform, encompassing data pipelines, pricing services, and API layers utilized by research applications.
• Create and implement scalable data ingestion and processing systems for financial and macroeconomic data, prioritizing reliability, latency, and comprehensive coverage.
• Construct and uphold internal tools and libraries that standardize the development, testing, and deployment of models, analytics, and trade signals across the team.
• Manage the software lifecycle of platform components, including design, code reviews, testing, monitoring, and ongoing improvements.
• Develop tools for trade discovery and screening, ensuring they are efficient, maintainable, and extensible.
• Collaborate with quantitative analysts to convert analytical needs into well-engineered features for the platform, serving as a connection between research and production.
• Continuously enhance platform observability, deployment practices, and the developer experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong foundational knowledge in software engineering, including system design, clean architecture, testing, and code quality.
• Over 3 years of production experience in a platform, quantitative development, or data engineering role within the financial services sector.
• Proficient in Python; familiarity with C++ or Rust is advantageous for performance-critical components.
• Practical experience in building and maintaining data infrastructure, including time-series databases, data pipelines, and API services.
• Experience with pricing libraries or the implementation of quantitative models, ideally in a production environment rather than solely in research.
• Strong awareness of performance, reliability, and operational issues in fast-paced trading environments.
