This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.
• Lead and integrate Mortenson’s quality system within the operating group.
• This role necessitates close collaboration with design, operations, and project teams to spearhead the planning, development, and execution of the Quality Management Plan.
• Create, evaluate, and report on quality performance metrics while analyzing operational and quality data for trends to utilize for further enhancements.
• Oversee Quality Events and implement corrective actions.
• Foster a performance-driven culture aimed at meeting and surpassing operating group and team objectives, while promoting a healthy team atmosphere.
• Mentor and support team members in their learning and development regarding Quality.
• Conduct project Quality Assessments and/or train other team members to perform these assessments.
• General Quality System: Collaborate closely with other Quality leaders and teams to ensure the effective and efficient application of the Quality System.
• Aid in the design and delivery of training for general Quality processes and technical scopes (Electrical, etc.).
• Support team members and discipline leads integral to Quality management during both design and construction phases, including Safety, Environmental, Lean, and Commissioning teams.
• Keep abreast of industry and market trends regarding best practices and/or risks that might necessitate updates or improvements to the Quality Management System to optimize future success and growth.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related scientific or mathematical field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant technical/field experience accumulated over several years.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in the design, engineering, construction industry, heavy industry, utilities, and/or renewable energy generation.
• At least 1 year of experience leading a project or facility’s quality system, or comparable experience in incident and project management.
• Familiarity with one or more quality systems such as Malcolm Baldrige, ISO 9000, Lean, Kaizen, Army Corps of Engineers, TQM, continuous improvement, and value streams.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Active listening skills and effective communication, with an openness to diverse perspectives and feedback.
• Ability to build, motivate, and lead diverse and evolving teams.
• Engage in and contribute to industry standardization initiatives.
• Assess business needs and develop suitable solutions in unconventional environments.
• Experience in issue management and inspection of completed work.
• Possession of a current driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel up to 100%.
