This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.
• Lead a team of Quality Engineers (QEs) integrated within Agile squads: responsible for hiring, coaching, performance management, and fostering the growth of your individual contributors along our QE career ladder.
• Oversee the allocation of QE resources across various squads: adjusting coverage as priorities evolve, managing leave or vacancies, and communicating trade-offs to Engineering and Product when demand surpasses capacity.
• Take ownership of the QE practice within the squads your QEs are assigned to, ensuring compliance with release readiness standards through our quality gates, and maintaining coherent traceability in Qase.
• Evaluate test plans developed by your team, raising standards for coverage, clarity, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with fellow QE managers, the Tooling and Automation team, Data Engineering, and Product to pinpoint essential automation paths and integrate them into the quality gates, balancing actual customer flows with desired flows.
• Engage our nonfunctional QE specialists (Data, Security, Performance) to enhance coverage in the squads where your QEs operate.
• Work alongside Customer Support and Customer Success to incorporate customer feedback into QE, establishing your team as advocates for customers who identify failure modes before they escalate.
• Take charge of post-release quality: leading QE responses and root cause analyses when issues arise, and incorporating those insights back into gates, test coverage, and processes.
• Uphold existing QE processes and promote continuous improvement. Contribute to Themis, our automation framework based on Python/PyTest/Playwright, which implements our quality gates.
• Over 3 years of experience managing a quality-oriented engineering team.
• Strong decision-making skills in ambiguous situations and proactive communication across all levels.
• A current perspective on the role of AI in Quality Engineering.
• Technical expertise and comprehensive understanding of both QE practices and the products you will oversee.
• Proven experience in utilizing AI tools and technologies to enhance workflows, improve decision-making, or drive innovation.
• Flexible Time Off (FTO) and 13 paid public holidays aligned with the Czech calendar.
• Paid sick leave with additional support through the Czech social security system.
• Maternity, paternity, and parental leave in accordance with Czech regulations, plus extra paid paternity leave starting at 8 AM.
• Comprehensive statutory benefits, including public health insurance, social security, pension, and work accident coverage.
• Opportunities for performance bonuses and employee referral rewards.
