This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Spearhead the integration of AI-assisted testing, intelligent automation, and advanced quality engineering methodologies to enhance software quality, testing efficiency, and engineering productivity across various product domains.
• Develop and advocate for engineering standards in AI-assisted testing, agent orchestration, responsible AI validation, observability, test data management, and overall software quality.
• Mentor engineers on effectively utilizing AI-enabled workflows while ensuring sound engineering judgment, robust testing principles, and high-quality engineering results.
• Assess emerging AI technologies, testing strategies, and quality engineering practices, leading their adoption when they bolster organizational effectiveness.
• Formulate and implement quality engineering strategies across multiple product areas to guarantee dependable, scalable, secure, and high-quality software delivery.
• Create detailed testing strategies that consider business goals, technical risks, architectural dependencies, release readiness, and customer effects.
• Oversee complex quality engineering projects, automation frameworks, and testing strategies that strike a balance between coverage, maintainability, performance, and delivery objectives.
• Ensure that quality engineering solutions consistently adhere to established standards for functionality, security, reliability, performance, and operational readiness.
• Set quality metrics and utilize production data, testing outcomes, customer feedback, and engineering insights to perpetually enhance testing effectiveness and software quality.
• Promote the adoption of shift-left quality practices, continuous integration, intelligent automation, and engineering processes that enhance delivery predictability and engineering efficiency.
• Lead initiatives for continuous improvement that reinforce automation frameworks, testing processes, quality engineering standards, operational excellence, and developer productivity.
• Evaluate new testing tools, AI-enabled capabilities, automation technologies, and engineering methodologies to elevate the organization's quality engineering maturity.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Architecture, Infrastructure, Developer Experience, and Engineering Leadership to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Articulate quality strategy, testing progress, release readiness, quality metrics, and technical risk evaluations to engineering leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Represent the Quality Engineering division in architecture reviews, engineering councils, release planning, and cross-functional initiatives while fostering alignment across technical disciplines.
• Guide Quality Engineers and technical leaders through technical coaching, quality assessments, automation guidance, and knowledge sharing, while advocating for engineering excellence across the organization.
• Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing Quality Engineering team by providing regular feedback, performance coaching, career development, and growth opportunities.
• Promote a collaborative, psychologically safe, and accountable team culture that encourages continuous learning, innovation, and engineering excellence.
• Assist in hiring, onboarding, workforce planning, and succession planning to create a resilient and high-performing Quality Engineering organization.
• Hold the team accountable for quality commitments, release readiness, engineering standards, professional conduct, and ongoing improvement while facilitating long-term team success.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in quality engineering, software engineering, or technology organizations.
• More than 5 years of experience leading Quality Engineering teams, technical leaders, or multiple engineering initiatives.
• Proven track record in developing quality engineering strategies, organizational standards, and enterprise automation practices.
• Profound expertise in AI-assisted testing, automation architecture, quality metrics, engineering governance, and software delivery.
• Strong comprehension of cloud-native architectures, DevOps, CI/CD, release management, and engineering operations.
• Demonstrated ability to influence engineering leadership, drive organizational change, and align quality initiatives with business objectives.
• Outstanding leadership, communication, coaching, and strategic planning abilities.
• Experience in developing engineering leaders, succession planning, workforce planning, and enhancing organizational capabilities.
