Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Assist in managing quality at supplier locations and project sites.

• Maintain and enhance Peterson Power’s quality assurance program.

• Support large-scale, intricate, and extended design/build engineering projects.

• Manage and distribute quality documentation to fulfill project goals.

• Develop and implement quality best practices for all stakeholders.

• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure compliance with equipment quality standards.

• Partner with clients and Caterpillar to evaluate supplier quality performance.

• Aid Sales and Operations teams in quality processes and initiatives.

• Assist Project Managers in completing start-up and commissioning documentation.

• Supervise project issue logs, inspections, quality records, and final reports.

• Conduct shop tests, site evaluations, quality inspections, and End-Of-Line assessments.

• Offer technical quality and commissioning support to suppliers, vendors, customers, and sales teams.

• Address customer quality inquiries under the guidance of the Quality Manager.

• Utilize CxAlloy and SharePoint in everyday operations.

• Carry out supplier quality evaluations and audits.

• Conduct quality management system audits at suppliers on behalf of clients.

• Provide quality reports to the Quality Manager.

• Travel to customer job sites, vendor and supplier locations, and Peterson Power team meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college in Business or a closely related field.

• At least five (5) years of relevant experience in quality management within the construction sector.

• Acceptable combinations of education and professional experience will be considered.

• Quality-related certifications are preferred, including Certified Quality Inspector, Certified Quality Technician, Certified Quality Engineer, or Six Sigma Green/Yellow/Black Belt.

• A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record are required.

• Completion of a drug screening and background check is mandatory.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

• Experience or capability to use CxAlloy and SharePoint is required.
