Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Approach tasks with a shift-left mindset, incorporating quality considerations from the stages of planning, refinement, and story definition.

• Assist Product Owners and technical teams in formulating clear, testable acceptance criteria that focus on business value.

• Engage actively in team ceremonies, offering insights regarding risks, dependencies, impacts, testing efforts, and delivery quality.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance functional, regression, and automated test scenarios.

• Aid in test execution during release cycles by analyzing failures, adjusting scenarios, and ensuring reliable deliveries.

• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to embed tests into CI/CD pipelines.

• Investigate incidents, support root-cause analyses, and suggest measures to prevent future occurrences.

• Monitor and present quality metrics such as defects, reopened bugs, production incidents, test coverage, automation stability, and recurrence of failures.

• Foster a culture of quality within the team by promoting best practices, assisting peers, and encouraging continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience as a QA, Quality Analyst, Quality Engineer, or in similar roles.

• Proficiency in test strategy, including functional, regression, exploratory, and automated testing.

• Understanding of BDD, scenario writing, and crafting acceptance criteria.

• Experience in test automation and managing automated test suites.

• Familiarity with API testing, integration testing, and validating critical workflows.

• Knowledge of issue, bug, and incident management tools.

• Comfortable working with CI/CD pipelines and collaborating with DevOps teams.

• Capable of analyzing quality metrics and translating data into actionable insights.

• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with Product Owners, developers, leadership, and other stakeholders.

• Strong analytical, collaborative, and organized mindset with a keen sense of responsibility for product quality.
