This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ With the expansion of our project portfolio, we are in search of a Quality Coordinator (Site) to oversee project quality initiatives and ensure adherence to project specifications, client expectations, relevant codes, and Victor Energy's Quality Management System. This is a site-based role that will collaborate closely with construction teams, project management, clients, and quality leadership to ensure successful project delivery.
β’ **Your responsibilities would include:**
β’ - Overseeing the execution of quality assurance and quality control measures at the project site.
β’ - Coordinating and implementing project QA/QC activities in line with the Project Quality Plan, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and client specifications.
β’ - Reviewing, maintaining, and managing project quality documentation, ensuring it is accurate, complete, and addressing any deficiencies promptly.
β’ - Carrying out inspection activities as necessary, including those for foundations, grounding, structure erection, conductor installation, and material receiving processes.
β’ - Conducting and documenting inspections while ensuring that all check sheets, photographic records, and quality documentation are completed and maintained per project requirements.
β’ - Promoting adherence to the Company Quality Manual, Project Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans, and client specifications.
β’ - Supporting all quality team members and ensuring compliance with the applicable Contract, Client Standards, Provincial and Federal Regulations, and Construction Codes.
β’ - Collaborating with the material management team to ensure that material receiving inspections are conducted and verifying material traceability, certification, storage, and conformity to project requirements.
β’ - Identifying and communicating any material-related issues to the material management team, such as missing or damaged materials.
β’ - Documenting Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), deficiencies, and corrective actions while coordinating with team members until resolution is achieved.
β’ **Your background and credentials must include:**
β’ - A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction of foundations, transmission, distribution, and/or substations.
β’ - Preference will be given to candidates with experience in utility construction or foundation construction.
β’ - Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and applying Codes, Standards, Specifications, and Drawings.
β’ **Your background and credentials would also include:**
β’ - Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
β’ - Experience on major utility construction projects is a plus.
β’ - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
β’ - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
β’ - A service-oriented mindset with the ability to be assertive and persuasive.
β’ - Good judgment with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
β’ - Resourcefulness and a commitment to maintaining professional and technical skills.
β’ - Proficient in computer applications, including MS Word and Excel, and capable of learning new software platforms.
