Quality Assurance Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Developing and submitting batch record packages for lot release within the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) and reviewing them for compliance with the organization's Good Documentation Practices.

• Authorizing inbound and outbound cannabis shipments.

• Approving incoming materials.

• Engaging in investigations and creating reports related to non-conformity events.

• Assisting with the collection and shipment of analytical samples.

• Contributing to ongoing environmental monitoring efforts (including air particle counts and settle plates).

• Updating and managing documentation within the Quality Management System.

• Monitoring and analyzing Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data.

• Aiding in continuous improvement initiatives.

• Drafting and modifying Standard Operating Procedures to align with site and corporate standards in accordance with the Change Control procedure within the Quality Management System.

• Performing other assigned duties.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree or diploma in biology, biotechnology, pharmacology, or another scientific discipline (or equivalent professional experience).

• Familiarity with Good Documentation Practices, Good Manufacturing Practices in Cannabis, and EU-GMP Regulations is an advantage.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance.

• Experience in managing or conducting audits is considered beneficial.

• Proficiency in reviewing and revising regulated documents.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Background in a fast-paced work environment where time management, organization, and problem-solving were essential skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs.

• Experience with ERP systems (such as Sage or SAP) is regarded as an asset.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Proficient technical writing skills.
