• Lead and guide the administration of programs aimed at driving quality initiatives towards successful completion.
• Ensure satisfaction regarding quality through both internal and external inspection services of raw materials, purchased finished goods, and production processes.
• Perform and/or oversee studies to identify causes, effects, and necessary corrective actions to address deviations from established quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve issues related to product design, specifications, materials, tooling, and production operations that impact quality.
• Analyze all customer complaints to determine focus areas within the plant to prevent future occurrences.
• Organize and conduct regular training sessions to keep staff informed on procedures, methods, equipment usage, and other quality assurance practices.
• Plan and execute periodic audits to ensure adherence to established procedures.
• Actively promote lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Guarantee thorough documentation and maintenance of quality records.
• Uphold reporting requirements to ensure compliance with state and federal environmental regulations.
• Conduct regular reviews and follow-up on action items related to environmental standards.
• Identify opportunities for cost reductions, process enhancements, and simplification methods across all plant areas.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and/or equivalent professional experience in quality assurance.
• At least 5 years of experience with quality control standards, ISO 9001 quality management systems, lean manufacturing, and QA principles.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office for designing presentations and graphs.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.
• Experience with UL and FM is preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% may be required.
