This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Supervise the quality assurance and testing operations of the quality assurance team.
• Spearhead project estimation and requirements analysis efforts to establish feasible timelines and allocate resources efficiently.
• Facilitate conversations regarding new feature requirements, prioritize testing assignments, and manage the triage process for reported defects.
• Engage in regular leadership meetings and rituals as part of the Technology organization.
• Evaluate current standards and policies to pinpoint opportunities for enhancing efficiency and refining processes.
• Develop quality assurance protocols to execute testing and document QA findings.
• Assign and oversee testing responsibilities within the quality assurance team.
• Define and assess test coverage, scope, limitations, and strategies for testing tasks.
• Monitor and report on testing activities, including test progress, outcomes, coverage, necessary resources, and reported defects.
• Demonstrated proficiency in creating and implementing test automation strategies (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
• Experienced in testing within CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) environments (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Skilled in various testing types: Performance, Security, and API testing.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Conduct interviews and screening processes for quality assurance candidates.
• Mentor, lead, motivate, and guide members of the quality assurance team.
• Foster a culture of learning and experimentation, encouraging the team to investigate emerging technologies and integrate them into testing practices.
• Consistently provide evaluations and feedback to employees and leadership regarding the performance of individuals within the quality assurance team.
• Define, track, and report on key Quality Assurance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as defect escape rate, mean time to detect/resolve (MTTD/MTTR), and test coverage metrics.
• Continuously investigate and test emerging technologies to grasp their implications and prospective benefits for the organization.
• Lead initiatives to incorporate innovative solutions into existing systems, enhancing competitive advantage and ensuring future-proof operations.
• Stay updated on industry trends to foresee changes and recommend strategic adaptations to technology investments.
• Evaluate the impact of new technologies on operational processes and ensure smooth implementation with minimal disruption.
• Over 7 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership or management capacity.
• Extensive experience leading QA teams across web-based enterprise applications.
• Proven ability in developing and executing automation strategies utilizing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD environments like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Strong grasp of test strategy development, test planning, estimation, and risk-based testing approaches.
• Experience in managing functional, regression, performance, security, and API testing initiatives.
• Proficient in API testing and performance testing tools.
• Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Comprehensive understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies and participation in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management.
• Experience in defining and monitoring QA KPIs such as defect escape rate, test coverage, MTTD, and MTTR.
• Ability to review system architecture and collaborate with Engineering teams on quality enhancements.
• Experience in recruiting, mentoring, and managing the performance of QA engineers.
• Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret testing data and provide actionable insights to leadership.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong verbal communication abilities.
• Quick learner, capable of developing subject matter expertise.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Available for scheduled and ad-hoc calls/meetings/chats during weekday working hours.
• Quiet workspace suitable for video meetings and calls.
• Access to a reliable high-speed Internet connection; minimum of 25MBPS.
• Double monitors preferred but not mandatory (if available).
