This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Develop and take ownership of detailed testing strategies.
• Execute automated, exploratory, UI, API, and integration testing.
• Adhere to the Shift-Left principle, complemented by Shift-Right practices like monitoring and observability.
• Design, enhance, and maintain automated tests and testing frameworks.
• Utilize established automation frameworks for UI and API testing.
• Engage with the command line and Developer Tools.
• Generate and manipulate technical test data and master data.
• Technically isolate and analyze defects.
• Support the agile development process from refinement to acceptance testing.
• Incorporate the QA perspective early in the process and assess requirements for testability and completeness.
• Proactively identify risks and edge cases.
• Build and manage test repositories and test data.
• Execute regular regression testing.
• Continuously enhance QA processes and ensure sustainable adherence to technical quality requirements.
• Contribute to initiatives focused on performance, security, and threat modeling.
• Share best practices and foster a sustainable culture of quality.
• Monitor and potentially advance AI-supported methods, such as automated test case generation and self-healing tests.
• Several years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer (m/f/d) or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of contemporary testing methodologies and software development processes.
• ISTQB certification is mandatory, at least at the Foundation Level.
• Hands-on experience with test automation.
• Familiarity with established automation frameworks.
• Capability to independently create, enhance, and maintain automated tests for UIs and APIs.
• Solid technical understanding and confidence in technical environments.
• Experience with the command line and Developer Tools.
• Background in creating and manipulating technical test data and master data.
• Experience with technical defect analysis and isolation.
• Familiarity with API and interface testing.
• Experience working with agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.
• Good grasp of software development processes.
• Analytical, structured, and independent working style.
• Confident communication skills with stakeholders across various departments and development teams.
• Basic SAP knowledge, along with experience in performance or security testing and monitoring and observability approaches, would be beneficial.
• A fundamental understanding of modern security practices, such as threat modeling, is a plus.
• Interest in advancing modern QA methodologies and AI-supported testing techniques.
