• Design, implement, and uphold both manual and automated testing plans, cases, and scripts.
• Conduct **backend data validation**, which includes SQL testing of intricate datasets, stored procedures, and ETL processes.
• Develop and run **API-level test suites** (e.g., frameworks based on Python or Postman).
• Utilize **load and performance testing tools** (e.g., JMeter) to evaluate system stability, throughput, and scalability.
• Generate and manage **UI automation scripts**, ideally using Cypress or similar technologies.
• Support continuous testing within a **CI/CD pipeline**, working alongside DevOps to incorporate automated tests into release processes.
• Review test outcomes, document defects, and collaborate with developers to ensure solutions meet quality benchmarks.
• Engage in Agile ceremonies, offering actionable QA insights and ensuring that quality is prioritized during story development, sizing, sprint planning, and execution.
• As required, perform manual testing and assist with automated UI tests (Cypress) to enhance testing coverage and effectiveness for your designated modules.
• Serve as the main quality control authority for each production release.
• Track and report on overall quality metrics and trends for both pre-release and production defects.
• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in software QA testing and engineering.
• Strong expertise in **SQL**, particularly PostgreSQL, including the capability to create complex queries for validation and analysis.
• Professional experience with **Python** for scripting, automation, or data validation tasks.
• Practical experience with **load/performance testing tools** such as JMeter.
• Thorough understanding of **QA principles within a SaaS environment**, covering functional testing, regression, smoke testing, and defect lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of **CI/CD processes**, including pipeline construction and continuous testing methodologies.
• Experience with **UI automation frameworks**, preferably **Cypress**, Selenium, or Playwright.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficient in Agile/Scrum practices and familiar with one or more common tools for backlog management (Jira, Azure DevOps Boards, etc.).
