This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.
• Take ownership of the quality strategy for features and domains, encompassing test plans, risk assessments, and coverage decisions.
• Detect ambiguities and gaps in testability during the review of requirements.
• Establish acceptance criteria in collaboration with Product.
• Balance manual exploratory testing with automated regression testing for comprehensive coverage.
• Create and document test plans, coverage decisions, and known risks.
• Develop and maintain automated tests for API, integration, and end-to-end scenarios.
• Ensure that automation suites are efficient, reliable, and easy to maintain.
• Oversee CI/CD integration for executing tests.
• Utilize observability tools to monitor production features.
• Address developer escalations and incidents by evaluating impact, conducting targeted regression testing, isolating root causes, and communicating results.
• Utilize AI tools on a daily basis to generate test cases and data, draft test plans, analyze bug trends, and expedite automation development.
• Critique AI-generated test outputs and prioritize testing based on risk factors.
• Compose clear and reproducible bug reports, advocating for quality prior to release.
• Collaborate with developers to enhance testability and pinpoint untested scenarios.
• Guide junior QAs at L3+ and set AI quality standards for L3/L4 levels.
• Engage in a shared engineering on-call rotation, approximately one week per month after initial training.
• Solid understanding of testing fundamentals, including test strategy, test case design, and risk-based prioritization.
• Practical experience with automation using Playwright.
• Proficient in API testing with Postman/REST clients and interpreting application logs.
• Currently using, or highly motivated to adopt, AI tools within a QA workflow.
• Excellent written communication skills for creating actionable bug reports and test plans.
• Background in API testing, browser automation, and unit/integration test frameworks.
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions, AWS CloudWatch, application logs, metrics dashboards, PHP/TypeScript, Ruby/TypeScript, MariaDB, Redis, and AWS.
• Experience in testing e-commerce, payments, or subscription platforms is a plus.
• Familiarity with PHP, TypeScript, or Ruby codebases is advantageous.
• Experience with AWS/CloudWatch or similar observability tools is a bonus.
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions or alternative CI/CD pipelines is desirable.
• Level expectations range from 0–1 years for L1, 1–3 years for L2, 3–6 years for L3, and 6+ years for L4.
• Participate in a shared on-call rotation with engineering (~1 week/month after training).
• Engage in regular knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Work in an open environment that encourages active participation in shaping the platform.
