This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and implement comprehensive testing strategies for web and mobile platforms by formulating detailed, step-by-step test cases that verify features and functionalities.
• Conduct manual testing to assess the software from the end-user viewpoint, pinpointing usability issues, edge cases, and unforeseen defects.
• Create and uphold automated tests utilizing programming languages and testing frameworks to enhance efficiency, speed up development cycles, and broaden test coverage.
• Perform regression testing to confirm that new updates do not adversely affect existing functionalities, concentrating on critical user flows and system integrations.
• Work closely with engineers and product managers throughout the sprint cycle to validate user stories, proactively identify and communicate blocking issues, and provide clear quality approval before release.
• Examine and document software defects by detailing reproduction steps, expected versus actual behavior, environments, and supporting evidence such as screenshots or logs to facilitate effective resolution by the development team.
• Collaborate with stakeholders—including product managers, designers, engineers, and support staff—to grasp customer and business requirements.
• Proficiency in ASP.NET MVC, .NET, C#, MSSQL, React, Javascript, jQuery, HTML/CSS, Azure, and DevOps.
• Practical experience with testing frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright (preferred), or Appium.
• Expertise in at least one programming language typically used for automated testing, such as Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Familiarity with bug tracking and project management tools like Jira or Azure DevOps (preferred).
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies including test planning, test case design, exploratory testing, regression testing, and release sign-off processes.
• Knowledge of web technologies (HTML/CSS, REST APIs, browser dev tools) and the capability to read and comprehend application code (preferably ASP.NET/C#, JavaScript/TypeScript/React) to troubleshoot issues and collaborate efficiently with engineers.
• Ability to write SQL queries (MSSQL preferred) for data validation and issue reproduction.
• Experience with AI tools as a productivity enhancer—for generating test cases, drafting automation, and improving coverage.
