Quality Assurance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Assess and integrate automated testing tools, including frameworks based on Playwright and UI regression tools like Meticulous.

• Develop and sustain test scripts and automated validation checks.

• Take ownership of high-volume, repetitive QA tasks, such as managing dependency/package upgrade pull requests.

• Monitor the duration and advancement of open pull requests through QA and identify any bottlenecks.

• Establish a clear Dev-to-QA handoff procedure that includes tagging, status updates, and effective communication.

• Actively gather screenshots, context, and reproduction steps from developers.

• Assist in designing phased, controlled release rollouts to minimize the impact of problematic deployments.

• Progress towards taking ownership of the release and rollout process with a focus on SRE principles.

• Collaborate daily with the existing QA engineer and report to engineering leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Engineering background with experience in writing and deploying code, rather than just executing test cases.

• Proven experience in building and maintaining test automation within a real production environment using tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar.

• Ability to assertively challenge senior engineers when a process or pull request is not ready for deployment.

• A product-oriented mindset toward technical and infrastructure solutions.

• Substantial alignment with US business hours.

• Candidates must reside in the United States or Latin America.
