Quality Assurance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.

📋 Description

• Evaluate requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to offer timely and insightful feedback.

• Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-organized test plans and test cases.

• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities effectively.

• Design, create, and execute automation scripts utilizing open-source tools.

• Identify, document, and thoroughly track bugs.

• Conduct comprehensive regression testing once bugs have been resolved.

• Establish and implement testing processes for both new and existing product features.

• Collaborate with developers and product managers to determine system requirements.

• Oversee the results of the debugging process.

• Investigate the reasons for non-conforming software and educate users on implementing solutions.

• Monitor quality assurance metrics, such as defect densities and counts of open defects.

• Keep abreast of new testing tools and strategies.

• Background in software development.

• Experience in software quality assurance.

• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

• Proven ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.

• Practical experience with both white box and black box testing.

• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools.

• Solid understanding of SQL and scripting.

• Experience within an Agile/Scrum development framework.

• Background in performance and/or security testing is an advantage.

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
