Quality Assurance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Work in partnership with development teams to grasp project requirements and functional specifications.

• Design, create, and implement detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

• Develop and maintain thorough documentation regarding testing activities.

• Conduct manual testing of software applications to pinpoint and document defects.

• Create and sustain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage.

• Run automated test suites and evaluate results to confirm software adheres to quality standards.

• Identify, document, and monitor software defects through established defect tracking tools.

• Perform regression testing to verify that previously identified defects have been resolved and that new features have not caused new issues.

• Plan and carry out performance testing to assess the scalability, reliability, and responsiveness of software applications.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure a thorough understanding of project requirements.

• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in testing methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Demonstrated experience in software quality assurance, encompassing both manual and automated testing.

• Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Understanding of Agile development methodologies.

• Relevant certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) are advantageous.
