Quality Assurance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Greece.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and the broader team to comprehend the vision, technology, and customer requirements for forthcoming releases.

• Create both manual and automated testing scripts for new releases as well as for the regression suite.

• Enhance the test automation framework by incorporating coverage for new services and regression scenarios.

• Engage in the development of innovative testing frameworks that leverage AI for requirements analysis and test execution.

• Provide estimates of effort required for testing activities.

• Identify and assess testing tools and frameworks as we broaden our automation capabilities.

• Conduct both manual and automated testing according to the needs of each release.

• Aid in the enhancement of QA standards, processes, and documentation.

• Contribute to the formulation of test strategies, risk assessments, and decisions regarding release sign-off.

• Mentor junior members of the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• BSc / MSc degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Over 4 years of experience in testing complex cloud-based SaaS products.

• Capability to work with AI-enhanced QA methodologies, including automated test generation, self-healing tests, and AI-driven debugging.

• Proficient with one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript, along with a solid understanding of RDBMS and SQL queries.

• Experience in testing back-end systems, web applications, REST APIs, relational databases (PostgreSQL), and data pipelines or ETL workflows.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent) and test reporting frameworks (Allure or similar).

• Background in testing back-end systems and front-end GUIs, web services, API testing, including REST and GraphQL services, as well as relational databases.

• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Testmo, TestRail, Zephyr).

• Exceptional troubleshooting abilities for complex, multi-layered applications.

• Proven knowledge of testing best practices, version control, and defect management.

• Sound understanding of test automation frameworks like Playwright or similar.

• Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with software engineers, AI engineers, and DevOps teams.

• High level of spoken and written English proficiency, including the ability to produce clear and comprehensible documentation.

• Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and QA best practices.
