• Verify AI-reformatted SOPs by conducting side-by-side comparisons with source procedures to ensure that no information is omitted, altered, paraphrased, reordered, or truncated.
• Ensure that every step, warning, caution, note, reference, and supplemental section is accurately preserved in the output.
• Validate the procedure structure and usability in accordance with HPOG Best Practices in Procedure Formatting, which includes layout, numbering, conditional logic formatting, and considerations for human factors.
• Assess readability and operational clarity from the viewpoint of a field operator or technician.
• Document defects with precise, actionable details and clear references to both source and output locations to facilitate quick and unambiguous fixes.
• Review AI-generated regulatory compliance flags to ensure their accuracy, relevance, and alignment with the correct requirement or standard.
• Evaluate AI-generated compliance suggestions to confirm they are technically sound, operationally appropriate, and consistent with the intent of the regulation.
• Cross-verify new or revised corporate standards/policies against the client's internal policy library to detect conflicts, gaps, or inconsistencies.
• Conduct regression testing following platform updates to verify that formatting conformance and compliance quality remain robust.
• Monitor error patterns across documents, summarize systemic issues, and collaborate with product/engineering teams to prioritize enhancements to models and workflows.
• Experience in oil & gas technical documentation (including reviewing, authoring, or maintaining SOPs/procedures, standards, or regulatory-facing documentation).
• Strong working knowledge of at least one relevant regulatory framework (such as AER, OGC, API Recommended Practices, OSHA PSM 29 CFR 1910.119, or equivalent).
• Exceptional attention to detail and a consistent, methodical approach to reviewing and comparing high-volume documents.
• Proficient written communication skills (capable of drafting defect reports and review commentary that can be understood by both technical and non-technical stakeholders).
• Comfort with using document management systems and/or issue tracking tools to log defects, identify patterns, and document regression results.
• Certification or formal training in HSE, process safety, quality management, or management systems.
• Experience with pipeline integrity, wellsite, or facilities documentation (in operations or compliance contexts).
• Background in regulatory affairs, compliance auditing, or governance of management systems.
• Prior experience assessing AI-generated content for accuracy, completeness, and safety/compliance risks.
• Familiarity with environmental compliance documentation (such as approvals, emissions reporting, and environmental management requirements).
