Quality Assurance, Document Review Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Verify AI-enhanced Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) by conducting side-by-side comparisons with original procedures to ensure no information is omitted, altered, paraphrased, reordered, or truncated.

• Ensure that every step, warning, caution, note, reference, and supplementary section is accurately preserved in the final output.

• Assess the structure and usability of procedures against HPOG Best Practices in Procedure Formatting, which includes layout, numbering, conditional logic formatting, and considerations for human factors.

• Evaluate readability and operational clarity from the viewpoint of a field operator or technician.

• Document defects with precise, actionable details and clear references to both the source and the output locations to facilitate swift and unambiguous fixes.

• Review AI-generated regulatory compliance flags to verify their accuracy, relevance, and alignment with the correct requirements or standards.

• Analyze AI-generated compliance suggestions to ensure they are technically sound, operationally appropriate, and in line with the intent of the regulations.

• Cross-reference new or updated corporate standards/policies with the client’s internal policy library to identify any conflicts, gaps, or inconsistencies.

• Conduct regression testing following platform updates to ensure that formatting conformance and compliance quality remain robust.

• Monitor error patterns across documents, summarize systemic issues, and collaborate with product/engineering teams to prioritize enhancements to models and workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in oil & gas technical documentation, including reviewing, authoring, or maintaining SOPs/procedures, standards, or regulatory-facing documentation.

• Solid understanding of at least one relevant regulatory framework, such as AER, OGC, API Recommended Practices, OSHA PSM 29 CFR 1910.119, or an equivalent.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a consistent, methodical approach to high-volume document comparison and review.

• Proficient written communication skills to create defect reports and review comments that can be acted upon by both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Comfortable using document management systems and/or issue tracking tools for logging defects, patterns, and regression results.

• Certification or formal training in HSE, process safety, quality management, or management systems.

• Familiarity with pipeline integrity, wellsite, or facilities documentation related to operations or compliance.

• Background in regulatory affairs, compliance auditing, or governance of management systems.

• Previous experience in reviewing AI-generated content for accuracy, completeness, and safety/compliance risks.

• Knowledge of environmental compliance documentation, including approvals, emissions reporting, and environmental management requirements.
