QA/QC Lead Inspector – Modular Buildings

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Qatar.

📋 Description

• Deliver strategic leadership and operational management for the facility's quality inspection program.

• Oversee the scheduling of inspections, shifts, and trade bay assignments for the quality inspection team.

• Supervise Quality Technicians I, II, and III.

• Co-manage customer-witnessed Factory Acceptance Tests in collaboration with the Project Manager.

• Act as the authorized signatory for final product acceptance and shipping authorization.

• Conduct audits of workshop and yard processes to ensure compliance with NEC, AWS welding standards, and state modular building certification requirements.

• Serve as the intermediary between the corporate QA/QC Manager and the local General Manager.

• Suspend production or prevent product shipments if quality metrics, national standards, or state certification criteria are not satisfied.

• Ensure full compliance, regulatory adherence, and readiness for external audits.

• Facilitate successful customer-witnessed FATs, along with external regulatory and state certification audits.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required.

• Demonstrated technical proficiency in modular PDC construction.

• Capable of leading multi-trade teams, resolving compliance conflicts, and engaging with industrial clients.

• Experience in Quality Management or equivalent extensive quality experience.

• Minimum of 8 years in heavy multi-trade fabrication.

• At least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.

• Strong practical knowledge of industrial structural drawings, construction tolerances, and general electrical system layouts.

• Relevant facility experience may replace formal degree or tenure requirements.

• Preferred: Previous experience in managing inspection data or coordinating quality checkpoints in a structural fabrication plant, shipyard, or steel fabrication environment.

• Preferred: Familiarity with multi-state modular building certification frameworks, NEC codes, or basic root-cause failure analysis (RCFA).

• Ability to safely navigate both indoor and outdoor production environments in all weather conditions.

• Comfortable interacting with high-level clients and regulatory officials in high-pressure testing situations.
