This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Lead and mentor the QA team, ensuring they possess the necessary resources, skills, and guidance to thrive in their roles.
• Distribute tasks and responsibilities among team members according to their strengths and expertise.
• Conduct hiring (technical interviews) and facilitate the onboarding process for new employees.
• Manage probation periods and provide performance review feedback, including addressing performance issues.
• Quality Assurance Strategy: Formulate and execute a comprehensive quality assurance strategy, encompassing testing processes, methodologies, and tools to guarantee high-quality product releases.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancement within the QA team and the development lifecycle, and implement best practices to boost efficiency and effectiveness.
• Test Planning and Execution: Supervise the development and execution of detailed, thorough test plans and test cases for both manual and automated testing initiatives.
• Defect Management: Establish and maintain procedures for logging, tracking, and prioritizing defects, collaborating closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with development, business, and other cross-functional teams to synchronize quality assurance efforts with overall project objectives.
• Risk Assessment: Perform risk assessments to pinpoint potential areas of concern and devise mitigation strategies to minimize feature risks.
• Reporting and Documentation: Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation of testing processes, results, and metrics for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Training and Development: Promote a culture of continuous learning and development within the QA team, offering coaching and training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Over 5 years of experience in testing server-side applications.
• Proficient in English at an intermediate level.
• Strong communication abilities.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or SVN, including branching, merging, and conflict resolution.
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools (e.g., Gitlab, Travis CI) for automated testing and deployment processes.
• Expertise in API testing using tools like Postman, SOAPUI, or similar, and comfortable working with RESTful and SOAP APIs.
• Solid understanding of database concepts with the capability to write complex SQL queries for data validation and testing.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments with a deep understanding of Agile testing practices.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, NUnit, or equivalent for creating and managing test suites.
• Proficient in using bug tracking systems like Jira, Bugzilla, or similar tools for defect management and reporting.
• Basic knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) and concepts for load and stress testing.
• Experience with logging systems (e.g., ELK Stack, Graylog, Splunk, Fluentd, AWS CloudWatch, Grafana Loki) for diagnosing and resolving defects, analyzing system behavior, and monitoring performance.
• Nice to have: Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar technologies.
• Programming skills in languages commonly used for automation (e.g., Java, Python, C#), as well as scripting languages for task automation.
