QA Specialist / Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Create and implement thorough test plans and test cases.

• Conduct functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing for both web and mobile applications.

• Ensure new and modified features align with requirements, specifications, and expected user outcomes prior to their release.

• Confirm bug fixes prior to production deployment.

• Identify, document, and prioritize software defects.

• Uphold testing documentation and quality standards.

• Mobile Application Testing

• Current Platforms

• Test native iOS applications.

• Test native Android applications.

• Validate application functionality across various devices and operating system versions.

• Test offline capabilities and background behavior.

• Verify push notifications and permissions.

• Conduct device orientation and usability testing.

• Assist with beta testing via TestFlight.

• Future Platforms

• As our products evolve to Kotlin, the QA Specialist will gradually support testing for Kotlin-based Android applications.

• Release Validation

• Confirm production readiness prior to releases.

• Validate fixes after deployments.

• Aid in release sign-off.

• Ensure defects are properly documented and retested.

• Documentation

• Generate detailed test and bug reports.

• Maintain testing documentation.

• Develop reusable regression test suites.

• Document testing procedures and outcomes.

• Produce release-readiness summaries that instill confidence in the team for shipping, including test plans, coverage, results, known issues, and sign-off.

• Process Improvement

• Enhance QA workflows and testing processes.

• Establish consistent testing standards.

• Contribute to release processes and quality metrics.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of practical experience in software quality assurance (QA), encompassing manual testing of web and mobile applications.

• Extensive experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools.

• Proficiency in Jira, test case management, bug reporting, and defect tracking.

• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test planning, test execution, and best practices in quality assurance.

• Experience in building or maintaining automated test suites.

• Eagerness to learn about CI/CD, release engineering, and deployment tools.

• Ability to articulate technical issues clearly.

• Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks.

• Experience with SQL/database testing.

• Knowledge of CI/CD environments.

• Background in Agile development environments.

• Experience with TestFlight.

• Understanding of the Apple App Store release process and Google Play Console.

• Experience in installing and testing APK/AAB builds.

• Exposure to Android Studio, Kotlin, mobile debugging, and crash log analysis.
