QA Research Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Estonia, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Understand and execute both manual and automated testing scenarios.

• Identify, document, and monitor defects.

• Enhance the efficiency of test case execution and expand test coverage.

• Collaborate in an agile development setting with developers and other team members to iteratively deliver quality software.

• Engage in testing based on requirements.

• Continuously refine processes, testing methodologies, execution efficiency, and overall effectiveness.

• Detect bugs and contribute to the delivery of high-quality software.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong grasp of testing principles and QA best practices, particularly for web services applications.

• Solid knowledge of distributed architecture and its ecosystem.

• Familiarity with development and debugging tools for Python, Go, Ruby, and React.

• Practical experience in designing and implementing automated test cases using Python and Pytest or Playwright for React.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, including the integration of automated tests into workflows.

• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of QA processes from development through to release.

• Over 3 years of experience in QA roles within agile teams, particularly focused on desktop application testing.

• Outstanding analytical and critical thinking abilities.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.

• Capability to mentor team members, lead QA initiatives, and establish robust testing processes.

• Nice to have: proficiency in Go, Ruby, or React.

• Nice to have: experience in performance and stress testing for web services.

• Nice to have: familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or Bruno.

• Nice to have: understanding of security and privacy standards.

• Nice to have: experience in accessibility testing.

• This role is available to candidates located remotely in Italy, Spain, or Estonia.
