This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with product and software engineers to define acceptance criteria and convert them into sustainable manual and automated test coverage.

• Conduct risk-based testing on functionalities, including the validation of accessibility, internationalization/localization, security, and privacy requirements.

• Execute structured exploratory and scenario-based testing across essential user workflows to identify usability issues, edge cases, and integration challenges.

• Validate and assess defect reports in partnership with Esri Support Services, and review findings with the development team for resolution.

• Communicate the quality status, risks, and recommendations through dashboards, written summaries, and verbal updates to facilitate informed release decisions.

• Review automated test coverage and outcomes to evaluate effectiveness, highlight gaps, and suggest areas for enhancement.

• Lead risk assessment for assigned features by evaluating functional, technical, and user-facing risks to guide test prioritization and release readiness decisions.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of QA experience testing contemporary web applications in an Agile setting.

• Proficiency in web UI test automation tools such as Playwright.

• Experience in testing REST APIs and validating integrations (JSON/HTTP).

• Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript to interpret and assess automated test cases for better understanding of coverage and improvement suggestions.

• Intermediate knowledge of web fundamentals (HTML/CSS, components, APIs) and UI/UX principles.

• Intermediate understanding of accessibility (WCAG) and internationalization/localization (i18n/l10n) practices.

• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities to isolate issues, document clearly, and work collaboratively to resolve product deficiencies.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, GIS, Information Science, or a related technical field.
