This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.
• Oversee, guide, and develop the QA team by conducting regular one-on-one meetings and planning career advancements.
• Coordinate the allocation of QA engineers among various squads, implementing a rotation strategy.
• Create and execute a comprehensive automation roadmap, focusing on regression testing to enhance platform stability.
• Develop and sustain automated workflows that mimic genuine user interactions across web and desktop platforms (utilizing Python or Java).
• Continuously enhance automated test coverage to proactively detect edge cases and avert production issues.
• Streamline the "development-to-delivery" timeline by improving validation processes while maintaining quality standards.
• Serve as the main point of contact for incident management, prioritizing bug triage alongside developers to ensure prompt resolution and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate closely with the engineering team to guarantee that the QA process is mature, robust, and aligned with agile delivery methodologies.
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) via Jira, including response times, validation cycles, and defect leakage.
• Advocate for QA best practices within the engineering team to promote a shared commitment to quality.
• Provide regular updates to senior management regarding the status of the area, progress in automation, and product stability.
• A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in software testing automation.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and scaling QA teams.
• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (Python or Java).
• Experience in testing both web and desktop applications.
• Ability to communicate clearly and exhibit collaborative humility.
• Capable of driving initiatives with decisive action while consistently upholding high standards to deliver rapidly and confidently.
• Knowledge of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
• Familiarity with test automation tools such as Postman, Selenium, Playwright, and Behave.
• Experience in developing Automated Pipelines (preferably with GitHub Actions).
• Competence with Atlassian Jira.
• Proficient in MS Office/Excel, Google Suite, and Notion.
• Fluent in Portuguese.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Willingness to travel as necessary to support events and meet the team.
