QA Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Lead, guide, and mentor the QA team, facilitating one-on-one sessions and career development planning.

• Oversee the distribution of QA engineers among various squads, implementing a rotation strategy.

• Develop and execute a comprehensive automation roadmap, emphasizing regression tests for enhanced platform stability.

• Create and sustain automated workflows that replicate actual user behavior in both web and desktop settings (using Python or Java).

• Continuously enhance automated test coverage to proactively uncover edge cases and avert production issues.

• Improve the "development to delivery" timeframe by refining validation processes while maintaining quality standards.

• Serve as the primary contact for incident management, triaging bugs with developers to ensure swift resolution and root cause analysis.

• Work closely with the engineering team to ensure that QA processes are mature, robust, and aligned with agile delivery cycles.

• Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) through Jira, including response times, validation cycles, and defect leakage.

• Promote QA best practices within the engineering team to make quality a collective responsibility.

• Provide regular updates to senior management on the health of the area, automation progress, and product stability.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Hands-on experience in software test automation (5+ years).

• Demonstrated experience in leading and scaling QA teams.

• Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (Python or Java).

• Experience in testing both web and desktop applications.

• Clear and collaborative communication skills.

• Bold decision-making with a commitment to high standards for swift and confident delivery.

• Familiarity with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).

• Knowledge of test automation tools such as Postman, Selenium, Playwright, and Behave.

• Experience in developing automated pipelines (preferably using GitHub Actions).

• Familiarity with Atlassian Jira.

• Proficient in MS Office/Excel, Google Suite, and Notion.

• Fluent in Portuguese.

• Advanced proficiency in English.

• Willingness to travel as necessary to support events and engage with the team.
