QA Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete SIT testing strategy and its execution.

• Guide and mentor QA analysts, test engineers, and external testing partners.

• Set up testing standards, processes, and best practices.

• Foster accountability for quality within project teams.

• Serve as the main point of contact for all SIT-related activities.

• Create detailed SIT test plans, schedules, and resource predictions.

• Specify entry and exit criteria for every testing phase.

• Determine testing scope, risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.

• Ensure that test coverage meets business, functional, and integration requirements.

• Coordinate testing efforts across various applications and teams.

• Review and authorize test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts.

• Guarantee thorough business process validation across integrated systems.

• Supervise the execution of functional, integration, regression, and UAT support testing.

• Track testing progress against project milestones and timelines.

• Ensure defects are properly documented, prioritized, and addressed.

• Facilitate defect triage meetings and drive resolution of issues.

• Monitor defect trends, root causes, and quality metrics.

• Appropriately escalate critical issues and risks.

• Verify fixes and confirm successful completion of retesting.

• Provide clear quality evaluations and recommendations for releases.

• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Developers, Architects, and Program Managers.

• Manage testing readiness across upstream and downstream systems.

• Communicate testing status, risks, and quality metrics to leadership.

• Facilitate cross-functional discussions to overcome testing obstacles.

• Assist business users during UAT and production readiness tasks.

• Coordinate the readiness and availability of the SIT environment.

• Ensure completion of test data preparation and management tasks.

• Collaborate with infrastructure and support teams to resolve environmental issues.

• Validate integrations, interfaces, APIs, and batch processes.

• Develop and maintain testing dashboards and key performance indicator (KPI) reporting.

• Report on test execution progress, defect status, and quality trends.

• Measure and communicate test coverage and release readiness.

• Provide executive-level updates and risk assessments.

• Identify opportunities to enhance test automation coverage.

• Advocate for shift-left testing practices and quality engineering principles.

• Refine testing processes, tools, and overall efficiency.

• Implement lessons learned and initiatives for continuous improvement.
