QA Functional Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Qatar.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and uphold functional test cases and testing scenarios.

• Verify the functionality of web, mobile, and eCommerce applications against business specifications.

• Conduct API testing and confirm integrations between various systems and services.

• Carry out regression, integration, exploratory, and end-to-end testing activities.

• Identify, document, track, and assist in resolving defects and quality concerns.

• Collaborate intimately with Product, Development, and UX/UI teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Validate user experiences across mobile devices, large-screen interfaces, and integrated hardware where applicable.

• Assist in quality assurance tasks related to peripheral integrations like barcode scanners and printers.

• Actively engage in Agile ceremonies and contribute to ongoing quality enhancements.

• Ensure that delivered solutions adhere to quality standards and fulfill business expectations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 4 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with a significant emphasis on functional testing.

• Experience in testing web, mobile, or eCommerce applications.

• Proficient in designing, executing, and maintaining test cases and testing scenarios.

• Familiarity with API testing using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar applications.

• Experience in validating integrations and end-to-end business processes.

• Experience testing applications on mobile devices, emulators, simulators, and physical devices.

• Experience in validating user experiences on large-screen devices, kiosks, or POS-style interfaces is highly desirable.

• Experience testing integrations with peripherals such as barcode scanners, printers, or similar devices is highly desirable.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and defect management capabilities.

• Experience working in Agile environments.

• Proficiency in English (B2 or higher).
