QA Engineer, Recon Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Conduct testing on backend services within a RESTful microservice architecture that supports card and payment operations.

• Assess transaction flows, encompassing authorizations, captures, reversals, and refunds.

• Verify back-office processes associated with reconciliation, corrections, and operational workflows.

• Execute manual and exploratory testing for new product features and system modifications.

• Carry out regression testing during releases, infrastructure updates, and platform migrations.

• Develop and maintain test cases, checklists, and testing documentation.

• Analyze defects, document observations, and collaborate with developers, analysts, and product managers to address issues.

• Gather and evaluate QA metrics to enhance product quality and testing efficiency.

• Assist in automating transaction flow testing at the API level as test coverage expands.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in testing backend systems and REST APIs.

• Proficient use of Postman or similar tools for API testing.

• Experience with PostgreSQL, including the ability to write queries and validate stored data.

• Familiarity with Kafka, encompassing event validation, topic analysis, and contract verification.

• Understanding of card processing and payment flows, such as authorization, hold, capture, reversal, and chargeback processes.

• Capability to read and comprehend code written in Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, or similar programming languages.

• Strong grasp of software testing principles, defect investigation, and test design methodologies.
