This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia, +3 more countries.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing suites for web, API, and mobile applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, and reusable testing code as part of feature development and bug-fix processes.
• Execute thorough test plans, which include creating test cases, executing them, analyzing coverage, and reporting defects.
• Enhance automated regression coverage to boost product reliability and confidence in releases.
• Contribute to performance testing by developing and executing performance test scenarios.
• Conduct functional, integration, regression, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Investigate, replicate, and document software defects with comprehensive root cause analysis.
• Validate bug fixes and ensure resolution of issues prior to production releases.
• Engage in code reviews and assist in upholding quality standards across the engineering team.
• Advocate for quality and testability considerations during architecture and design discussions.
• Aid in enhancing CI/CD pipelines by integrating and optimizing automated test execution.
• Collaborate with developers to facilitate shift-left testing practices, encompassing unit testing, contract testing, and enhancements in testability.
• Work closely with Product, Engineering, and QA teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Support testing initiatives within Agile development methodologies.
• Maintain documentation for tests, automation frameworks, test plans, and runbooks.
• Contribute to the improvement of testing processes, tools, and engineering best practices.
• Share knowledge and work collaboratively with team members to continuously enhance product quality.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Software Quality Engineering, Test Automation, or Software Development.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Proficient in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Practical experience with test automation frameworks such as:
• - Playwright
• Experience in testing RESTful APIs and GraphQL services using tools like Postman or REST Assured.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines utilizing tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Basic knowledge of Docker and containerized testing environments.
• Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, automation best practices, and defect lifecycle management.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with strong attention to detail.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Must reside in Latam.

• Experience in testing microservices, distributed systems, or event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with security testing concepts and OWASP best practices.

• Experience with contract testing tools such as Pact.
• Exposure to chaos engineering practices.
• Contributions to open-source testing frameworks or QA communities.
