QA Engineer – Manual, Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Analyze requirements and user stories; identify gaps and inconsistencies prior to development commencement.

• Create and uphold test documentation including test cases, checklists, and bug reports.

• Conduct functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing on the SWP platform.

• Test REST APIs utilizing Postman; employ browser DevTools for front-end debugging.

• Record, monitor, and validate bugs in Jira; engage in triage sessions with the development team.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

• Clearly and proactively communicate test progress and quality status to the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–3 years of direct manual QA experience with commercial software projects.

• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Hands-on experience in writing test cases, checklists, and bug reports.

• Proficient in using Postman for API testing.

• Familiarity with browser DevTools for essential front-end debugging.

• Experience utilizing Jira for bug tracking and task management.

• Analytical mindset — capable of thinking beyond standard paths and asking pertinent questions.

• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency for daily written and verbal communication.

• Proactive demeanor — you identify risks early, propose enhancements, and do not wait for directions on what to test next.

• Comfortable managing your area comprehensively: from requirements assessment to release approval.
