QA Engineer – Maintenance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Identify, document, and monitor defects, collaborating with the development team to address them.

• Develop, review, and revise test cases and QA documentation.

• Conduct functional, regression, exploratory, and user acceptance testing.

• Focus primarily on testing iOS and Android mobile applications, with web flows tested as necessary.

• Assume complete responsibility for QA on designated maintenance projects, functioning as the sole QA within each pod.

• Quickly adapt to various project contexts, domains, and schedules across a rotating weekly workload.

• Coordinate daily with the PM to synchronize priorities and report on status, obstacles, and coverage.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in QA engineering.

• Extensive experience in mobile application testing (iOS and Android), with web testing experience considered a plus.

• Proven experience as the sole QA on a project, demonstrating the ability to work independently and take full accountability for quality.

• Proficiency in creating and maintaining test cases and test plans.

• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), QA processes, and defect lifecycle.

• In-depth knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.

• Practical experience with Postman and/or Newman for API testing.

• Familiarity with traffic inspection tools such as Charles or Proxyman.

• Experience using BrowserStack for cross-device testing.

• Comfortable utilizing AI-assisted tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor) as part of the daily workflow.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of effectively reporting status, obstacles, and test coverage to a PM and development team on a weekly basis.

• Proficiency in English at a B2 level or higher.
