QA Engineer – Freelance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Creating and implementing comprehensive manual test cases and scenarios to ensure exceptional product quality.

• Conducting functional, regression, usability, and exploratory testing to confirm feature functionality and user workflows.

• Detecting, documenting, and reporting clear, actionable bugs with detailed reproduction steps and supporting evidence.

• Collaborating effectively with development and product teams to clarify specifications and validate fixes.

• Confirming bug resolutions and new features prior to release through meticulous manual testing.

• Keeping test documentation, quality metrics, and user-friendly reporting dashboards up to date.

• Aiding in the prioritization of critical bugs for prompt resolution.

• Contributing to automation initiatives by offering insights on test coverage and validating automated test outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in manual testing for web, mobile, and API applications.

• Proficient in exploratory testing to creatively identify edge cases, usability concerns, and unexpected product behavior.

• Skilled in designing and executing various manual test types, including functional, regression, usability, integration, and API testing.

• Familiarity with CI/CD fundamentals and comfortable with fine-tuning pipeline configurations in YAML.

• View flaky tests as personal challenges and possess proven strategies to eliminate them.

• Capable of communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Passionate about documenting edge cases and thinking from the perspective of a curious end user.
