QA Engineer, Fluent English

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Formulate detailed test plans derived from functional and technical specifications to ensure thorough coverage.

• Develop, update, and execute precise manual test cases utilizing Zephyr integrated with JIRA.

• Engage actively in daily squad stand-ups, sprint planning sessions, reviews, and retrospectives within an Agile framework.

• Record, monitor, and manage defects in JIRA, confirm solutions, and coordinate retesting efforts to guarantee quality resolution.

• Assess user stories and tickets to ensure adherence to established acceptance criteria prior to release.

• Implement a Shift-Left testing strategy by becoming involved early in the development lifecycle and collaborating closely with Product Owners and Development teams.

• Collaborate with Frontend engineers to convert manual test scenarios into automated test scripts utilizing Cucumber, Gherkin, and Playwright.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by improving automated test coverage and facilitating reliable, stable deployments.

• Conduct and support network, performance, smoke, and visual regression testing in production and customer-facing environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional English communication skills are essential (C1 level in both spoken and written).

• 4–5 years of practical QA experience in SaaS or software product-based organizations.

• Strong comprehension of software testing principles, methodologies, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Demonstrated experience in Agile settings, with a solid understanding of Shift-Left testing practices.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and quality integration within continuous delivery environments.

• Self-driven, proactive, and capable of working independently with a keen focus on detail and quality ownership.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
