QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malta.

📋 Description

• Crafting, implementing, and sustaining thorough test plans and strategies for new features and intricate architectural modifications.

• Performing in-depth exploratory testing and root-cause analysis on complex, cross-platform gaming applications (including web, mobile, and native).

• Verifying backend microservices and databases to ensure data integrity and smooth API integrations.

• Collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and developers in a Shift-Left environment to establish acceptance criteria and identify defects early.

• Utilizing AI-assisted tools to enhance test data generation, script creation, and log analysis.

• Overseeing live releases and proactively engaging with technical teams to guarantee zero-downtime deployments.

• Guiding junior team members and promoting QA best practices throughout the engineering department.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a QA Engineer, preferably within the dynamic iGaming industry.

• Strong practical experience in API and microservices testing using contemporary tools (e.g., Postman or code-based API testing).

• Robust experience with test automation frameworks (such as Playwright).

• Comprehensive understanding of database architecture.

• A proven history of testing highly dynamic, responsive web and mobile applications across diverse browsers and devices.

• The capability to interpret complex technical specifications and convert them into clear, concise test cases and documentation.

• Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to convey technical risks to both developers and non-technical stakeholders.

• A keen eye for detail, a proactive team spirit, and the capacity to think creatively to identify critical edge cases.
