QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of projects from start to finish with clarity, technical excellence, and accountability, ensuring high-quality standards across teams.

• Serve as a bar raiser, enhancing quality and coding standards, promoting engineering excellence, and driving ongoing improvements.

• Design, implement, and maintain efficient and reliable automated tests for both frontend and backend using Playwright and TypeScript.

• Strategically approach test automation; collaborate with developers to ensure balanced test coverage throughout the testing pyramid.

• Contribute to and enhance the overall testing strategy, refining QA processes and metrics.

• Prepare and review test plans to validate functional and non-functional requirements.

• Conduct manual and exploratory testing; document, track, and verify defects to ensure product excellence.

• Analyze test results and monitor key testing metrics to identify patterns and opportunities for improvement.

• Actively participate in project kick-offs to comprehend requirements, foresee risks, and influence testability from the project's inception.

• Advocate for user experience and product quality, working closely with product, design, and engineering to align QA objectives with delivery outcomes.

• Identify and communicate issues, risks, or dependencies early, escalating to product leadership when necessary.

• Mentor and support teammates, cultivating an open, empathetic environment that encourages learning, feedback, and high-quality automation practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Over 7 years of relevant experience as a QA Engineer.

• More than 3 years of proven experience in test automation for both frontend and backend using Playwright.

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript with experience in building scalable, maintainable automation frameworks.

• In-depth knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of influencing and aligning with both technical and product teams.

• High attention to detail, confidence in execution, and a strong desire to contribute to organizational growth in a high-performing environment.

• Experience in defining and driving test automation standards across teams.

• Experience in mentoring QA engineers in test design, coding practices, and quality ownership.
