This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Conduct software testing for a variety of systems, including web and mobile applications, customer billing, back-end database systems, email delivery, and security systems.
• Engage in the project lifecycle, from reviewing requirements to release and post-launch support.
• Develop and implement detailed test plans and test cases.
• Log and monitor issues until resolution is achieved.
• Perform functional, system integration, regression, user acceptance, and production deployment testing.
• Duplicate production bugs and validate the fixes provided.
• Collaborate with all departments during and post-development to ensure comprehensive test coverage is maintained.
• Exhibit ownership and accountability for assigned tasks.
• Provide precise and timely estimates for QA timelines and efforts.
• Develop and improve formal QA processes.
• Manage all aspects of quality assurance, including setting metrics and applying industry best practices.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent software engineering QA experience is mandatory.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL databases, basic SQL programming, and Git version control is advantageous.
• Experience with Linux operating systems and client-server systems.
• Proficient in using bug tracking software.
• Experience in an agile development setting.
• Knowledge of unit testing in languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C, etc.
• Experience with web UI testing.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies and the software development life cycle.
• Must possess goal-oriented and detail-focused attributes.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously; strong multitasking skills are essential.
