QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nigeria.

📋 Description

• In the role of QA Engineer at Quidax, you will be tasked with ensuring the quality, reliability, and stability of our products during the entire development lifecycle.

• You will collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to validate requirements, test features with moderate complexity, and detect defects early on.

• This position requires you to utilize established QA practices, tools, and processes to perform both manual and automated testing, conduct API testing, and evaluate quality risks.

• You are expected to work autonomously on well-defined tasks, demonstrate sound judgement within existing procedures, and continuously enhance your technical and professional QA skills while consistently contributing to high-quality releases.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer, with proven experience testing real products from end to end, rather than merely following test cases.

• You possess a mindset that combines user perspective and engineering insight.

• You are inquisitive enough to investigate edge cases and technically adept to comprehend the underlying processes.

• You have practical experience in automation with tools such as Cypress and Appium (Java), and you understand when automation is beneficial.

• You are familiar with APIs and can confidently test them using tools like Postman, ensuring data integrity, integration precision, and error scenario validation.

• You have worked in an Agile/Scrum development environment, actively engaging in sprints, planning, and delivery processes.

• You do not wait for perfect requirements; you ask questions, challenge assumptions, and bridge gaps to ensure quality is maintained.

• You thrive in fast-paced teams where priorities may change, yet you maintain high quality without becoming a bottleneck.

• You value clarity. Whether it's a bug report, a test case, or feedback during a sprint, your contributions help others work more efficiently.

• You take responsibility for quality—not just in identifying bugs, but in enhancing how the team builds, tests, and ships over time.

• Nice to have: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and understanding how automated tests integrate into them. Experience in fintech, crypto, or other high-reliability sectors is a plus.
