QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Qatar.

📋 Description

• Conduct manual testing for mobile applications (iOS, Android) on actual devices.

• Assess media workflows, including photo capture, image quality, and visual data for 3D modeling.

• Serve as a user advocate by validating the complete product behavior and usability.

• Discover functional, visual, and edge-case defects across various environments.

• Examine defects utilizing logs, tools, and reproducible scenarios in collaboration with engineering teams.

• Keep test documentation (test cases, scenarios) consistent with requirements.

• Participate in test planning and coverage, focusing on regression scope and high-risk areas.

• Facilitate automation using BDD (e.g., Gherkin) and third-party testing services (e.g., Mobot).

• Implement risk-based testing and shift-left practices: prioritize testing, clarify requirements, and address defects early.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in manual testing with a solid grasp of QA fundamentals.

• Experience in mobile testing (iOS/Android) on actual devices.

• Knowledge of web application testing.

• Background in media/content validation workflows.

• Strong analytical skills, exploratory testing capabilities, and systematic problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient in debugging and investigating issues in collaboration with engineering teams (logs, tools, reproducible scenarios).

• Experience in test planning, including defining coverage, regression scope, and risk areas.

• Capability to test complex systems from start to finish.

• Comfortable utilizing LLMs as a testing and analysis resource.

• Excellent attention to detail and a customer-centric mindset that champions the end-user experience and proactively identifies usability concerns.

• Strong communication skills, independence, teamwork, and proactive engagement in discussions.
