QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Qatar.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain test automation frameworks utilizing software development methodologies and specified technologies, while considering CI/CD processes and various environments.

• Collaborate with teams in an agile setting, actively participating in the QA role, identifying requirements, analyzing design specifications, and communicating in English with both technical and non-technical team members.

• Execute QA technical testing responsibilities, including API and database testing, by interpreting queries and understanding database table relationships.

• Log and track bugs and defects systematically.

• Design manual test scenarios for automation test cases, identifying and prioritizing the most suitable ones for automation testing to ensure optimal coverage.

• Provide status reports detailing the testing process, key metrics, test results, and highlighting relevant priority issues and risks.

• Create level of effort (LOE) estimates.

• Ensure that the content and structure of testing artifacts are documented and maintained according to best practices for quality assurance automation solutions.

• Stay open to learning about new technologies and proactively keep up with QA trends to implement them in projects or participate in initiatives such as mentoring and knowledge transfer sessions within the team.

• Research and suggest the most effective technologies, approaches, and strategies for implementing QA Automation across various projects.

• Prioritize essential tasks and tests to ensure successful testing executions.

• Effectively identify and communicate potential quality issues and risks associated with projects.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to team members.

• Identify and define test scenarios and test cases based on functional requirements for both existing and new features, and conduct functional, regression, and acceptance tests to ensure the product meets industry and company standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience with Agile software development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).

• Experience in ensuring quality assurance for web applications.

• Familiarity with test automation planning, setup, and reporting.

• Some exposure to CI/CD processes and tools.

• Basic understanding of containerized applications and distributed systems.

• An innovative mindset, capable of thinking outside the box.

• A pragmatic approach with the ability to quickly implement out-of-the-box solutions.

• Strong analytical skills.

• Excellent communication abilities.

• Experience with Selenium.
