QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Develop AI tools that transform requirements, specifications, and tickets into test plans and executable test cases.

• Utilize AI agents to create, enhance, and fix automated tests while assessing their accuracy and coverage.

• Automate test execution with efficient, reliable, and easily diagnosable test suites that run with every change.

• Collaborate with Development and Product Management teams on quality assurance, testing, and pull request coverage.

• Transition manual test cases into automated tests and keep an inventory of the remaining manual coverage.

• Conduct exploratory, visual, cartographic, and complex data-flow testing.

• Construct test datasets, establish warehouse connections, and create maps using various data sources.

• Validate spatial analytics results using spatial SQL.


⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Copilot, or Cursor.

• Proficient in writing and debugging TypeScript or JavaScript.

• Familiarity with Playwright, Cypress, or a similar contemporary end-to-end testing framework.

• Experience in API testing.

• Proficient in SQL and capable of validating data independently.

• Strong written communication skills in English.

• Experience in developing AI-driven testing tools, including agentic test generation, LLM-based assertions, self-healing selectors, or AI-assisted triage.

• Nice to have: experience in testing GIS or mapping software.

• Nice to have: knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitHub Actions.

• Nice to have: familiarity with BDD/TDD practices or Gherkin.

• Nice to have: experience querying BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, or Redshift.

• 3+ years of experience in QA or test automation on actual products.

• Proven ability to automate previously manual processes.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Geography, or a related field, or equivalent experience gained on the job.

• Self-motivated, curious, eager to learn, and brings positive energy.
